About the role

The Scrum Master is responsible for guiding the Scrum Team in applying Scrum principles and practices to deliver high-value products. This role serves as a servant-leader, fostering collaboration, removing impediments, and enabling the team to improve continuously. The Scrum Master works closely with the Product Owner, Developers, and stakeholders to ensure the Scrum Team remains focused, productive, and aligned with business goals.

Responsibilities

Scrum Facilitation

  • Facilitate Scrum events and Scrum team collaboration in line with the Scrum Guide and ensure outputs/artifacts are documented.

  • Ensure that Scrum principles and practices are understood and applied by the team and stakeholders.

  • Coach the Scrum Team in self-management, cross-functionality, and continuous improvement.

  • Identify blockers, track team’s performance, and facilitate resolution of cross-team and external dependencies, escalate or collaborate with rightful stakeholders when needed.

  • Support the Product Owner in managing the product backlog and ensuring clarity of backlog items.

  • Facilitate the regular release management procedure accordingly to make sure each member owns their respective tasks.

  • Track and report the team’s KPI insights to leadership and stakeholders to inform decisions and drive improvement.

  • Help stakeholders understand Agile practices and how to work effectively with the Scrum Team.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business or Computer Science.

  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent Agile certification.

  • 2+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in software development environments.

  • Strong understanding of Scrum, Agile, and related frameworks (Kanban, XP).

  • Excellent soft skills: facilitation, coaching, conflict resolution, negotiation, emotional intelligence, and active listening.

  • Proven ability to track and analyze performance metrics (velocity, burndown, cycle time, throughput).

  • Strong familiarity with Change Management, Configuration Management, and Release Management processes.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities across technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Familiarity with technical practices such as CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps workflows is a plus.

  • Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile project management platforms.
